Harvard #3
The college I want to attend is Harvard University. The reason Harvard is because I know that it will expand my horizons about life and education. Harvard will challenge my mind and help me to advance in what I want to do for my future which is to become a counselor, but having my own building. Harvard will challenge me, I liked to be challenge because it will put me in a higher mindset about life. I know that it is difficult to be admitted, but all the hard work that you do studying for the ACT and helping out the community pays off, plus a full ride scholarship. I don't want to attend Harvard because I'm a genius, but to have a better education for myself, and my future generations to come. I plan to attend Harvard in August after my senior year in high school.
Service Learning #4
My Service Learning partner was Laura Amaya and the student name was Michael. What I learned from Service Learning was reaching out to young people about college life expands their horizon about becoming independent. Even though we may have a lot of free time, but school work comes first. Laura and I told Michael that the instructors won't hassle you about your school work, or when to turn it in. Laura and I wanted to know what did Michael want to do when he grow up. Hw said an actor, and an architeche. We printed out a collage for him with buidings and blue prints so he can see his visions, and know where he wants to be in life. The three of us researched colleges so he can have the best college that is avaliable to him, and may want to pursue in that college.
I willdothis again so i can help another young one live out his/her dream, andtellthem how college life is like.

Scott Residence Experience #2
When i first started this program i only knew three people. Camille Scott, Chelsea Nelson, and Merceydis Harris, which i knew from Omaha North High School. I looked at the unfamiliar faces, and wondered " How am i going to bond with all these new people"? I didn't know what to do because I'm the type of person who likes to meet new people. I dont know but that began to change.............
The Summer Scholars went to the dorm at the Scotts Residence Hall for an experience of the college life. I stayed on the second floor and my roomates were Jasmine Stovall, Marcela Salas, and Celestina Ojeda. I didn't know these girls well, but i knew that we were in the same progra. I began to ask them questions about their favorite color, music, and things they like to do. I really wanted to know the people who I room with, and it turned out that I liked them as roommates because they were respectful, nice and cared about one another's feelings.
The rest of the Summer Scholars were very interactive. They asked me how was I doing, why am I so happy all the time, do I ever get mad? We had to reintroduce ourselves because we forgot all of each others names. We all bonded at Ashland, Nebraska when we went to go on the high ropes. We had to use a lot of teamwork and thats how we had to get through the obstacles.
